I was invited by Andres Guerrero to put two pieces in a group show at his gallery in San Francisco. He had a great line-up of top notch international graffiti writers, who were either close friends or people I admired, so it was a show I could not pass up.
He really liked the Blank Canvas series, so he was hoping I’d submit something along those lines. The canvas dimension requirements were smaller than what I’m used to doing for these train paintings, so I decided to create a diptych of sorts by combining two panels into one image. I had been itching to do an old Guilford “Big G” / Boston & Maine paint scheme, so I figured I’d give it a shot, along with trying some new rusting techniques I had been working on. I was pretty happy with the end result. My only regret was not being able to paint more of the car and piece!
