Art, Beats + Lyrics wrap up

I missed the Steel Wheels Show and all my friends down south in Miami, but at least I got to kick it with my main man Baser from ATL up here in the District. We also had the Jack Daniel’s show, so we were able to drown our sorrows.

One of the crazier parts of the weekend was painting the backdrop photo wall in the back of an 18-wheeler in front of the EPA building on Constitution Ave. The tourists walking by were quite confused. I was too.

It was good to hang out and see all my usual DC friends and suspects in such an off the wall place.

My graffiti class

It’s been a busy week working on the show with Mark, so I didn’t get a chance to give a shout-out to my students, both young and old, from last Sunday. I was impressed with what you were able to learn and do in 2 hours. Everybody seemed to have fun and do their own thing, which is most important. I think Albus Cavus is doing another class tomorrow at 2PM at The Fridge if you missed last Sunday.

My girl Erin Gray

It’s funny how things in life come full circle. This time it only took about 30 years for one of my first crushes to give me the time of day.

This is actually a birthday gift I finally got from my friend Kasra. I don’t remember how the original conversation went down since this was awhile ago. But one night over a few drinks on my porch I admitted that when I was a kid, I was in love with Erin Gray from the TV shows Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and Silver Spoons. I especially thought she was super hot in this particular episode where she was turned into some sort of sultry, scary alien vampire. It was burned straight into my cranium. High-definition before its time.

Anyhow, he ran into her in NYC late last year and told her the story. She thought it was funny so she hooked me up!
