I have joined the ranks of Jimmy Buffett, Anthony Bourdain, Sammy Hagar, Nicholas Cage, Matt Dillon, and some weird Japanese bands. Except I didn’t drop 4 digit$ for my shirt like the rest of that crew. A quick scan of the 15,000 shirts at Bailey’s Antiques & Aloha Shirts with my girl and we found a 1960′s deadstock flower design for $59. Owner/expert David Bailey said it was a good find and in 10 years it should be worth close to $400. I’m guaranteed fresh in 2019!

That’s right. 15,000 Hawaiian shirts.
I went to Baltimore to paint with AREK this weekend and he had a surprise for me.
Here is what a normal Metropolitan DC police patch looks like.

He found this Metropolitan DC Police patch at an undisclosed location around his way. I actually have the original version of the DC “Death City” patch, but hadn’t seen anything like this, with Schwarzenegger from T3 – Judgement Day and the 3rd District added as well.

The original version has the Capital building in the background with a bunch of tombstones and the Grim Reaper with a bloody sickle in the foreground; back when the district was the “murder capital” of the US.
On a side note, I’m finishing reading an interesting book about Black Ops patches of the USAF. I’ll do a post about it soon.

I think I could fit into this… Too bad it’s that expensive.
Curse you as always eBay!
