Tim Burton at the MoMA
Posted: January 17th, 2010 | Author: Con | Filed under: Art, Movies, New York | No Comments »If you are in NYC, you need to go check it out.
It’s a dope retrospective of his work showing early sketches, sculptures, short films and all of his Hollywood stuff. I really dug seeing all the blackbook sketches. I tried to snap some flicks to put up on here, but got shutdown right at the start by security. I only got two flicks, one of a black light sculpture and the other a painting, but there were well over 700 hundred pieces.
It’s sold out days ahead of time and mad packed, so plan ahead. If you are a MoMA card member (borrow a friends…) or guest of one you can bypass the lines and go right in. Well worth it though.
Check it out online here.
F. Murray Abraham x Eric Shimelonis

Eric has written the music for F. Murray Abraham, famous for his Oscar winning roll in Amadeus, to sing to. There’s an interview with Abraham about it here.
Eric is a talented and cool guy. He gave me this for my birthday last year… so how could he not be?
Congrats man.
