Arek and I got good old Daver out to paint this weekend. We had a great time catching up on stories and getting him used to painting with Montana 94, Ironlak and female Rustos. Needless to say, he “never missed a beat”. Hopefully we can keep him moving and he won’t fall back into another years-long hiatus; Baltimore needs its OG style back.

Had some surprise guests show up many cars deep for autographs and interviews, but we all worked it out. They did admit the wall was looking good.

2nd blizzard scores a knockout on my block

It’s been a rough last couple of days. The 2nd storm that came through DC took down a huge oak tree in the middle of the storm and crushed my neighbor’s van. My Jeep was parked in front of it and narrowly escaped. The tree snapped a telephone pole in half and took down all the wires for the block, including power. Some of the wires were still live and getting buried in the snow, meanwhile the power company suspended repair operations because of the harsh conditions, so everyone was stuck. We eventually got out of there and stayed with our friend Erin(much thanks!) in another part of the city.

The top half of the telephone pole was only inches away from hooking me up with a new ride. How this cursed vehicle survived unscathed is beyond me. Damn…

Snow Leopard

Pretty much dug out from the storm today. I built a path for Leroy as well, although he’s really just flabbergasted by the whole ordeal and generally mad at the snow. For those who know how big that cat is, you can see how much snow we got.

Luckily I was shoveling while the snow was coming down on Friday night and Saturday, so I’m not breaking my back trying to move close to 30″ of snow like some of my neighbors now. We still haven’t had a plow out on my street, so I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. Took a hike with my neighbor Tom last night to the liquor store and stocked up on beer, so at least we’re good for the Superbowl tonight. Sounds like 6″ to a foot of snow on Tuesday though…

Blizzard in DC

Only a 1/3 of the way through this historic storm. It’s supposed to stop snowing like this by 4PM Saturday with somewhere around 30 inches. Here’s what we have as of 2AM.

Anyway, those shows I listed earlier on here for tomorrow, are postponed…
