I like this self portrait he did.

I was familiar with his work, but after meeting him this weekend I found out that we both grew up pretty close to one another in southern Maryland. Nobody is ever familiar with that area, so it’s always funny when you run into someone who is. Nice guy though.

Phantom HD breakdancing footage

I showed some of these crazy slow motion HD clips from “The District Rhyme” documentary a few months ago. Here is some more gravity defying footage.

From Dave Adams:

I took a pass at editing some of our breakdancing footage for The District Rhyme today. I just dropped off over 90 minutes of footage to our editor Chris Tuss to work with, but wanted to post up some of the stuff we’ve shot up here on Vimeo. I am not the best editor, but I think this is serviceable.

This was shot in September at the Edgewood Murals in Northeast Washington, D.C. with a Phantom HD and a set of Superspeed Zeiss Primes. Shots range from 300fps to 1000fps.

The video features Geoff Chang aka Toyz Are Us, a local b-boy and instructor at Words Beats and Life in Washington, DC. Check out the great work they do at wblinc.org.

This footage will be featured in the documentary “The District Rhyme” that I am working on with Emre Izat and Chris Tuss. Hope you enjoy it.

Chase stories, everyone’s got them. But I could listen to this dude all day.
