I took a pass at editing some of our breakdancing footage for The District Rhyme today. I just dropped off over 90 minutes of footage to our editor Chris Tuss to work with, but wanted to post up some of the stuff we’ve shot up here on Vimeo. I am not the best editor, but I think this is serviceable.
This was shot in September at the Edgewood Murals in Northeast Washington, D.C. with a Phantom HD and a set of Superspeed Zeiss Primes. Shots range from 300fps to 1000fps.
The video features Geoff Chang aka Toyz Are Us, a local b-boy and instructor at Words Beats and Life in Washington, DC. Check out the great work they do at wblinc.org.
This footage will be featured in the documentary “The District Rhyme” that I am working on with Emre Izat and Chris Tuss. Hope you enjoy it.
Wow, 100 different pieces, everyday, for 100 days. I’m lucky if I can turn out a few pieces in a month right now. At least they don’t have to have a separate fill and will all be the same color. SWET is a stylemaster so it will be cool to see him do it, but I’m sure by the end of it he will not want to use the color red ever again.
From the site:
The 100 Pieces in 100 Days Project featuring Swet has started december 1st 2009! From that day on danish graffiti writer Swet tries to set up a new record. Swet about the project: “for me it’s a challenge to see if I can find the time to paint even more without neglecting work or my family. And of course see what I can do with my style when all the pieces have to be different and with only one fill in colour to work with…” Good luck! 100 Pieces in 100 Days. Here you can follow him until march 10th 2010. In use: the Molotow Premium 400ml Swet100 Traffic Red. Keep checking that section for daily updates with photos and notes by Swet.
