The Philadelphia Experiment

Continuing a side project of painting in my friend’s styles, based off of The Exchange, I finally got around to doing a sketch that my crew mate Curve did for me. Originally, he did an Arek and Con together, but someone went and jumped the gun and painted his piece without me. Ahem.

Anyway, Curve is a style champ and a good dude, so I’m happy with the way this came out.

This is part of a production with Cri, Rain, Jazi, Decoy, Peter K and Ultra for the G40 summit that Art Whino is putting on in Crystal City, Virginia.

Me and Billy found this $5 gem at a thrift store the other day to use on a wall in the bar. I’m really digging that old logo.

Old school Frame from Los Angeles stopped through the District to hopefully catch a snowfall. Unfortunately, all he got was the 30″ of slush and ice melting away. He made up for it by dropping a few gems around town. Good times man, hopefully you’ll make it back next year.

Well, it looks like they edited down a lot of footage so I didn’t get my amazing conversation with with Tyler Perry on the show. It went something like this:

Him: “Hey Tim, what are you painting right here?”

Me: “I’m painting some grass.”

Awkward silence.

And then they move on.

But my canvas that I was asked to do, did make it onto the show. It’s a crazy sunrise with 15 hidden and abstracted fish in it for the kids to find, with a little fishing boat in the water.

Here’s a few bonus flicks from the buildout and the Albus Cavus team. This was done in late August, and the A/C in the school hadn’t been finished, so it was probably close to 100 degrees with humidity in the basement while working…
